The Well and the Lighthouse

I try to be retro. I really do. And it fails most of the time. But I could literally care less as long as I'm wearing these shoes.

Tu Vuoi Fa L'Americano

I am wearing this outfit solely because of the shoes. They are amazing. As in Darren Criss singing in Italian amazing. yeah. ok maybe not quite that amazing.

But they're still pretty freaking awesome. And bright.

I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you

This weekend, I threw my wonderful friend Sophie a surprise party. Her sister, Sadie, and I have been plotting for weeks and the end result was delightful. We completely over did it with decorations, because we share an unnatural love for streamers, but it was so worth it.

My present was wrapped in the most beautiful paper known to man. I essentially threatened Sophie into opening the present without ripping it...

Who is artsy supreme? Maddie is.

And of course, we had an enforced yellow dress code.

I enjoyed planning this far too much but I hope it brought everyone a little happiness at the end of the horribly stressful AP Exams/ My-English-teacher-is-trying-to-kill-me week.

I'd only waste it again

Urban Outfitters has really been on its game lately. Especially the crazy stuff that you secretly love so you try it on anyway and somehow it just works perfectly, even for non-crazy people.
that made no sense.
this disgustingly long stretch of school has slowly fried my brain.
it needs to stop. now.

I'm in Love with the Morton Salt Girl

But for now, Zac Posen raincoats will have to do.

Dress: Forever 21
Coat: Zac Posen for Target (there's a big big big difference.)

Are we secretly 5 year olds? I think so.

I just got this bustier top at urban and I think it is so wonderfully Water for Elephants. Whenever I pair it with anything it automatically looks retro and nautical at the same time. Happy Mother's Day!

Winter's not over

I refuse to believe winter's over when it's been in the sixties this week. In Texas. So for the time that I took these pictures at least, I've relapsed into dark colors. I've also been messing around with my camera, and, inspired by the intensely awesome paleness of Marc Jacob's adds, I've turned my flash compensation all the way up. I think it's fantastic, partially because I've always wanted to be pale, and in these pictures I finally can be, but mainly because it makes me look like a ginger. score.

What the hell am I wearing? I don't know.

No 704 b.

I honestly think these are the best shoes in the world.

(except maybe these...)

Shoes: No 704 b. [as is obvious from the title....]
